- Slow Fashion Made in Austria -

The owner Karin Merkl loves applied art and that's why she takes works by artists, artisans and designers with her from her Design Discovery tours to Vienna: Vases, tea and coffee sets, fragrance lamps, jewellery, fashion accessories, .... all with a special twist, with a design idea that she wants to convey to her customers and offer for sale in her showroom.

Karin Merkl has been designing fashion accessories under the label since 2004: it is the "scarf" theme with which it all began. Initially, hand-felted silk scarves, which are felted in a Japanese felting technique with merino wool with or without iridescent silk in the purest of handicrafts, whereby the craftsmanship know-how makes a modern interpretation of the old Japanese technique of felting with its unique character possible in the first place and is unique. The "Vienna" scarf stole is still made by hand in Vienna and is available in a wide range of colours.

Later Karin Merkl varies and modifies the basic shape of the scarf, the rectangle, so that it becomes a changeable, reversible garment and has her designs knitted in extra-fine, mottled merino wool in Vienna. The knitwear collection is growing and the models can always be combined with each other, many models are reversible and can be worn in different ways. The colour selection is large and an individual choice of colour combination is possible.

It is the zeitgeisty idea of a sustainable capsule collection - lived slow fashion knitwear and the sustainable idea of a capsule wardrobe. This is how "favourite pieces for everyday life" have been created since 2006 and especially today, when a rethink and economical use of resources is more important than ever, the concept of seems more contemporary than any other.

Why products from are a good buy.

  • Fair & Social

  • Made in Austria

Made in Austria - We at believe: "Regio is the new eco!"

We produce regionally, which means in Austria, currently in Vienna and in the vicinity of Vienna, where our company headquarters are located. We promote regional handicraft far away from mass and fast-moving things, because we want to preserve diversity, tradition and authenticity.
